Je meurs de vivre, Marcel Hanoun, 1994
''The characters are almost always inside their church-residence. They are tormented by the conflict between their religious faith and love for each other. It's almost as if they are barricaded by their faith to such a degree that even the external world (seen through windows) is not entirely free from faith's presence (the windows, framed as crosses, obstructs the view) and this omnipresence of the 'cross' restricts their movement/freedom. Almost as if the crosses bound them to their duty.'' Mehdi Jahan
